and supple and childlike.
Our hard exteriors falls away
when the sand hits our eyes.
The way you sleep, with your
face softened and your arms
wrapped around my waist,
is the most beautiful thing

“The term mortgage comes from the Old French « dead pledge », apparently meaning that the pledge ends (dies) either when the obligation is fulfilled or the property is taken through foreclosure.
The word « mort » in french means death.”

Everyone’s packing up and leaving. It’s surreal how fast time went, and I can’t believe I’ll be back home in Elk Grove within a few days. Thanks for letting me call you home, San Diego. I’ve had an amazing first year. Here’s to summer and the next school year upon us.
