Merida [Kelly Macdonald] is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.
I’ve watched this like 10 times now and i’m INCREDIBLY STOKED FOR MY EYES TO BEHOLD SUCH GINGER BADASSERY.

This film left me in shambles. For those who are unfamiliar with the plot, it’s basically about a British college student, Anna, who falls for Jacob, an American student. They fall for each other right away and spent the summer together. However, she violates the stay of her student visa, and when she tries to return to L.A., she is denied. Thus, our two lovers are separated by distance and must decide if they can/should make it work. The music was absolutely beautiful, it provided the heartbeat for the film and was a wonderful compliment. There were lots of Dustin O’Halloran, which I am completely happy with. I highly recommend you see this one.
